With themed cruises on the rise, solo travellers can choose to book onto group sailings targeting solos and singles. 

Many cruise lines have revamped some of their existing cabins to accommodate solo and single travellers.

Azamara Club Cruises

Celebrity Cruises

Celebrity Cruises is a brand of the Royal Caribbean Cruise Company and is a strong supporter of the Solo traveller, with offers ranging from no single supplement to +50% surcharge, often including free Wi-Fi and Onboard  credits up to $200. Celebrity Solo offers sell very fast.

Captain Cook Murray River Princess – South Australia 

Cruising has never been cheaper for solo travellers with Captain Cook Cruises offering a single surcharge between only 25%-30% on normal twin share prices, for all Murray Princess three, four and seven night cruises

Captain Cook Fiji

The most relaxing way to see a lot of Fiji is aboard a Captain Cook Cruises voyage. If you’re a solo traveller who’s shied away from cruising, it’s time to reconsider. In addition to being the most affordable and logistically realistic way to experience otherwise inaccessible locations, cruising is a very sociable style of travel. There is no single supplement on Captain Cook Fiji Cruises.

Crystal Cruises 

Crystal Cruises offer single cabins on their Ocean cruises with 150% and 200% supplement. Crystal Expeditions will launch a new Expedition ship, Crystal Endeavour 200 guests in late 2019, so please check our website as its expected that this ship will have dedicated Solo cabins and therefore Solo fares.

Cunard Line 


Cunard Line offer single cabins on their cruise liners Queen Mary, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth. Cunard does try to accommodate passengers who wish to dine solo, but this depends on how full each voyage is. … 
Discounts Available – Cunard’s typical solo supplement is 200 percent for Queens and Princess Grills and 175 percent for inside, 
outside and balcony cabins.

Holland America
 

Holland America takes it a step further with its Single Partners Program, which features activities like cocktail parties, games, exercise and dance classes, wine tasting, cooking demonstrations, and trivia contests.

Norwegian Cruise Line
 (NCL)

NCL have led the way with 250 of what it calls studio staterooms— priced for single & solo traveller—
 on its ships, Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Escape, Norwegian Epic, Norwegian Breakaway and Pride of America. The Lounge features a daily gathering, as well as complimentary coffee, espresso and snacks throughout the day.

P & O UK Cruises

The world’s oldest cruise line offers port extensive European and Around World voyages for the intrepid traveler. Solo travelers are very welcome with numerous gatherings cocktail parties and a designated lounge. No Children Policy on most of their ships.

Ponant 

One of the leading Expedition cruise lines, Ponant has introduced, that the supplement for Solo usage of a double guest accommodation is waived on a number of their cruises especially when their early bird programs are released each year.
